I’m Mboone —pronounced Mm-bone-nay. I am an artist who first picked up a paintbrush during my son’s art class and unexpectedly opened a whole new world in my life experience. What began as painting landscapes has grown into a whole universe of making: I follow whatever sparks joy, whether that’s a canvas, a garment, a wild experiment, or a new idea that insists on being born.
Studio Mboone is no longer just where I paint — it’s where I create living joy. I make merch, clothing, and artful objects that carry the same playfulness and wonder I try to cultivate in my own life. If wearing it, holding it, or seeing it makes you smile for no logical reason — perfect. That’s the point.
I also curate pieces from Kenya and across Africa, honoring the heritage and imagination that raised me. My work is grounded in culture, guided by curiosity, and fueled by the belief that joy shared is joy multiplied.
Studio Mboone is my reminder — and my invitation — that life is art, expression is medicine, and creativity is a wisdom all its own.

All Things Kenya (ATK)
All Things Kenya (ATK) is my love letter to the place that raised me — and an open invitation to discover the richness of Kenya and the African continent. It began with curating beautiful pieces from Kenyan makers, but it has grown into a deeper purpose: to gently clear away the misunderstandings that so often cloud how people see Kenya and Africa. We are not a single story — we are many, and we have so much to offer. Through ATK and my blog, I share my musings, memories, and cultural threads, hoping to spark curiosity, expand understanding, and inspire others to explore the beauty, creativity, and brilliance of my country and my continent.
